Rayna Janér
Rayna Rivera is a Senior Fashion design student with a minor in marketing at Kent State University. Originally From Buffalo, New York she learned how to sew at young age from the help of her mother. She always had a love for fashion and felt inspired by the people around her.Within Fashion she specializes in print and surface design. She loves to play with different colors, shapes and lines to create designs that feel authentic to her vision.
At Kent State she has developed strong technical skills in Adobe creative suite, browzwear, hand pattern making, garment construction, technical flats, and fashion illustration. she is involved in her fashion show production class and just recently helped produce the fashion and feather show in collaboration with the Cleveland museum of natural history. During her junior year she had the opportunity to further her studies in design in Florence, Italy. There she learned traditional pattern making techniques, fabric sourcing and different illustration methods.
She is currently set to graduate in 2027 and working on a senior collection for the Kent State annual fashion show.
